The History of the Josuamission

"In 1968, God called us to minister to His leaders by establishing a place where Jesus’ commandments would be reality in everyday life", remember Tilo and Rosemarie Claussen, the founders of Josuamission. The name "Josuamission" comes from Joshua, which is the Hebrew name for Jesus. In the Old Testament, Joshua fulfills the role of leading God's people into the promised land. Our mission is to minister to the "Joshua's", the pastors and the leaders of the church, who are leading His people into the promised land.

We outgrew our first little wooden farm house and purchased in 1986 the property Sjöhamra, surrounded by rocks and forest close to Stockholm and the archipelago in Sweden. Since then the work has developed into a conference center and a mission outreach center, mainly to the Baltic States and to Russia.
